An August afternoon on Peaked Mountain Pond, Siamese Ponds Wilderness. Peaked Mountain rises sharply from the far shore, creating a dramatic wall of trees against the trees of a small peninsula on the rocks of which a tired camper rests. At 2,919 feet, Peaked Mountain is a modest high though it rises an impressive 675 feet in 0.4 mile. After the climb the camper took a well deserved nap.
